NOW AVAILABLE!!

KNITTING PATTERN - Rustic Sweater - P157
When designing this sweater I had all the knitters in mind who really do not like to work in the round… so this sweater is knitted flat on straight needles, and has a simple slip stitch pattern on the front and sleeves, which adds a some colourful detail. You will need to seam the front and back, sleeves, and shoulders, then sew the sleeves into position and lastly the collar, so there is a little seaming involved. I am sure there are many knitters out there who, like me, do not mind seaming!!, I actually find this process very rewarding.

Pattern comes with schematic, and picture tutorials showing how to add the shawl collar.
This sweater was knitted in Debbie Bliss Aymara, Baby Alpaca

Sizes: 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 2 years, 3 years and 4 years.

Now available for FREE on LoveCrafts, for a period of one month only.

IN THE PIPELINE!!

I was lucky enough to be asked to work with Debbie Bliss yarn ‘Aymara’ and give my feedback. I found this yarn to be super soft, and an absolute delight to work with and it drapes beautifully. This yarn has a very different twist to the Cashmerino yarn, so I designed something a little rustic, which I feel is suitable for this yarn. Would make a great shawl, sweater, cardigan…. just about anything, as it is super soft to wear next to the skin.
Alpaca wool has long been used as a substitute for conventional sheep wool in the knitting of garments. The fibers are stronger and softer than sheep wool and contain no lanolin. Because of this, people with sensitivities to sheep’s wool or lanolin find alpaca fibers to be easier on the skin.  Not only is alpaca fur given a Class 1 rating by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission thanks to its flame resistant nature, but the fact that alpaca fleece is also somewhat moisture wicking makes it a lightweight alternative to sheep’s wool and a warm alternative to cotton. All in all a great yarn to work with.
I have designed a pattern which will be available for FREE on LoveCrafts Knitting, for a period of one month only. This pattern will be available in the next few days and updates will be posted on the following sites:
